Registration for our Annual Statewide Conference will include breakfast and lunch for each day of your registration; access to all conference sessions, keynote addresses, refreshment breaks, receptions; and any offsite events.
Our technical tracks will include Water; Wastewater; topics that are applicable to both sectors; Management and Safety; and more.

EXHIBIT AT THE EXPO

If you are an AWWMA (AWWA or WEF) member, you will automatically receive your discount at checkout. If you are currently a member of another (state) section or member association, let us know your member number and we will provide you with a member discount code as well!
The Expo will include your choice of an 8’x10′ piped and draped booth, a skirted 6′ table, one chair per registered attendant, plus electricity, and access to the facility’s public Wi-Fi.
Each booth registration will include one full conference pass (should you wish to participate before and after the EXPO). Registration includes optional special events, breakout sessions, and any conference materials.

CHERYL PORTER
President, American Water Works Association
Cheryl Porter is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Water and Field Services at Great Lakes Water Authority in Detroit, Michigan.
Her career in the water sector began in 1996 as a chemist for the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and elevated to COO by 2014. Since joining AWWA in 2005, Cheryl has been an active volunteer with AWWA and the Michigan Section of AWWA on various committees, and has assumed leadership roles such as the MI-AWWA Board Trustee, AWWA Director-at-Large, AWWA Vice President and currently President Board roles.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from Madonna University.
HOWARD CARTER
President, Water Environment Federation
Howard Carter is the director of the Water Resource Recovery Department for the City of Saco, Maine.
A WEF member since 1998, Howard spent five years in the House of Delegates as a representative of the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) and his last year as the speaker of the House. Additionally, he was a founding member of the New England Operations Challenge team “Pump Fiction” that went on to compete nationally in both Division 1 and 2 for a number of years.
Howard is also an active member of NEWEA, and a past president of the Maine Water Environment Association (2002).
In addition to receiving numerous WEF Operations Challenge team awards over the years Howard is also a recipient of the William D. Hatfield Award, the Arthur Sidney Bedell Award, A WEF Fellow, a WEF Service Pin Recipient, and a member of the Select Society of Sanitary Shovelers.
Howard is a graduate of both the U.S. Naval Nuclear Piping/Mechanical Apprenticeship program and the Southern Maine Technical College Wastewater Treatment/Environmental program.
