Position is primarily responsible for complex utility interim and periodic financial reporting requirements (internal and external) of two separate utilities, and for supervision of the General Accounting team. In fulfilling this position’s primary responsibilities, the General Accounting Supervisor is accountable for timely fund accounting and analysis, accuracy of each of general edger on an interim and periodic basis, debt service schedules and payments, subsystem reconciliations, maintenance and update of accounting policies and procedures as they pertain to the General Accounting Team, conformance with GAAP and all applicable policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include maintaining financial records for timely and accurate billings of reimbursable work orders, grants, and State of Alaska loans. Perform other related duties as assigned.
